Support includes maintaining z/VM and z/Linux systems, hands on experience with z/VM performance and tuning, including Omegamon and Velocity. Inclusive for this position is an understanding of VMSES (Product and Maintenance install process), researching and enhancing software/hardware solutions, 24 * 7 supports of products/problem resolution, and participation in disaster recovery exercises.  The candidate must have expert z/VM, z/Linux system programming experience with VTAM and TCP/IP skills.
This position requires excellent communications and organizational skills, teamwork, and adaptability.  The following skills are highly desired and will be used as differentiators:  TCPIP/VTAM network experience, HiperSockets usage between z/VM and z/OS, Velocity and Performance tools, REXX, Assembler, Host On Demand, Strong SMP/E installation and maintenance skills as well as good system-level troubleshooting are a must.
